I recently used Karen’s services whilst we went away for a long weekend. Karen made an appointment to come to our house before the booking date to meet our two cats and complete a questionnaire/fact sheet. The fact sheet was very detailed and covered many aspects of our cats requirements. The service that Karen offered was exceptional; I was quite anxious about leaving our cats as we had not had them long, but it soon became apparent that Karen is a devoted cat lover and I felt they would be well looked after by her. Whilst we were away we had regular communication from Karen advising how the cats were, what they had eaten and what games she had played with them, which was very reassuring. Karen even offered to give our home the ‘lived in’ look by closing/opening curtains switching on lights and picking up the post. When I go on holiday, I can relax knowing Kitty is in very safe hands with Karen. I have used Karen’s Cat Care quite a few times now, and have found it a great service. Knowing Karen is a genuine cat lover herself, with two cats of her own, gives me peace of mind that Kitty will be well looked after. On our first meeting, Karen was very thorough and she wanted to know as much as possible about Kitty, and what sort of cat she is. Karen also gives you email updates while you’re away so you know everything is ok at home, and whether your cat is eating as normal. I feel totally at ease when handing over my house keys to Karen, and it’s reassuring to know that she’s popping in every day. Karen has even removed parcels/post from my porch, so the house still looks occupied. I can’t recommend Karen highly enough. Karen looked after my mother’s cat – Bootsie, whilst in hospital and recuperating with us, in all for almost two months. She spent time with Bootsie checking she was OK, made everything tidy and bought food when required. Karen kindly text’d pictures which really cheered-up Mother. Sadly, Bootsie has never been that friendly, but bit by bit, Karen, on her own initiative, worked with her. Now Bootsie will let us stroke her and sit on a lap without “lashing out”. Such a difference for my mother. Very kind and hence ”Care beyond the call of Duty”. I have an elderly cat who had lost a lot of weight on his last cattery visit so needed him to stay at home for a 2 week holiday. I had Karen recommended to me by a friend and I can’t rate her highly enough. There was a very thorough 30 minute handover meeting – then while we were away there were daily e mails, texts and photos. It was reassuring to know the cats were in their home environment, Karen could give Alfie his medication, and they both had their home comforts. I also did not have to worry about ‘the cattery run’ and the cats were there to greet us when we got back. Not to mention a bottle of milk in the fridge when we returned! A fantastic service!
